Normally during "up shifting" you must roll off of the throttle and pull in the clutch in order to engage the next higher gear. In racing (both drag and road race), split seconds count. Rolling off the throttle, even slightly, slows your times and can be the difference between winning and losing. The aRacer Two Way Quick Shifter connects directly to the aRacer Speedtek RC2 ECU through the OEM wiring harness and allows full throttle, clutchless shifting. This is done by momentarily cutting the fuel and/or ignition, which unloads the transmission. During this time, the rider can shift up to the next gear without rolling off the throttle or using the clutch.
The aRacer Two Way Quickshifter is the most adjustable quickshifter on the market for the Ninja 400 because it connects directly to the aRacer race ECU. The aRacer Quickshifter can be set for push or pull operation to be used with standard or GP shift, and the settings can be fine tuned for switch sensitivity, shift time per gear, as well as spark timing per gear or fuel cut, for the smoothest shifts of any quickshifter available. Additional limits can be set by RPM to only allow quickshift operation above a certain RPM.
Because the aRacer Quickshifter connects directly to the Speedtek RC2 ECU, there is almost no wiring to run, and the quickshifter is plug and play. The stock O2 sensor is removed when installing a Speedtek RC2 ECU, which leaves the stock O2 sensor plug empty. The aRacer quickshifter plugs directly into the stock O2 sensor connector, and uses the stock wiring to connect to the ECU. Pretty slick.
