Penske’s premier 8987 triple adjustable rear shock is now available for the Aprilia RS 660 with a piggyback reservoir.

Every Penske 8987 Aprilia RS660 rear shock is hand built in the USA to our specifications and includes a spring matched to the customer taking into consideration the motorcycle, rider weight, and rider preferences.

The 8987 Aprilia RS660 rear shock features a remote reservoir damper and separate high/low speed compression, rebound, ride height, and preload adjustments.  The 8987’s design also allows for fast and easy spring changes without the use of a spring compressor or any special tools.

Based on the ever popular and highly successful 8100 series, the 8987 provides new dimensions of adjustability and versatility to the professional racer and the high-end aftermarket customer.  Its modular design allows the use of piggybacks where remote versions are not desirable or feasible.  The New compression adjuster features a new adjustable parabolic needle bleed bypass of a conventional shim stack and piston carried over from the top of the line 8700 series dampers. This results in 16 clicks of adjustment with enhanced linear steps between settings.

The new 8987 shock sets the standard in triple-adjustable shock absorbers in terms of performance, quality, and value.  There is no better rear shock on the market for the Aprilia RS660.
