I thought I would just put this info up as a separate post so it can be referenced easily to compare the aftermarket exhaust weights. The OEM headers, catalytic converter, and muffler weigh 11 lbs 9.2 oz. The OEM slip-on weighs 6 lbs 4.8 oz, and the OEM heat shield weighs another 5.5 oz.

I received my first delivery of Akrapovic’s carbon fiber S-Y2SO12-HAPC slip-on exhaust systems for the 2015 Yamaha R3 today. I installed the prototype Annitori QS Pro this past weekend. This kit didn’t have a complete harness like the retail kits will have, and we had to figure out what size rods would replace the stock shift rod, so I won’t post the full installation pictures yet, but here’s some photos of the shifter installed.
