The Norton Racing Race Spec RR Shock built by K-Tech is our new, fully adjustable, top shelf race shock for the Yamaha R3. The Race Spec RR shock is the result of extensive development and testing with countless riders and nearly every race shock on the market available for the Yamaha R3. It is built to be the best, for riders who want the best.
Our Race Spec RR shock is built on the platform of K-Tech’s popular Razor-R shock, but that’s where the similarities stop. Our Race Spec RR shock uses our own race proven length, valving, and spring rates as well as the updated 2019 top out spring. We have our own part numbers with K-Tech, you can’t get these shocks anywhere else. We even had K-Tech custom make springs to our specs because they didn’t have one of the sizes available that we needed. Instead of the “one size fits all” methodology other companies use for street/race suspension, our Race Spec RR shock is available in four different builds to perfectly match riders ranging from 80 lbs to 250+ lbs. You can’t build one shock that will be the best build for a 100 lb beginner street rider and 200 lb expert racer, they must be built differently to perform the best, and ours are.
The Norton Racing Race Spec RR Shock features ride height adjustment (282-292mm shock length), spring preload adjustment, compression adjustment, and rebound adjustment. The Race Spec RR shock is also the lightest weight fully adjustable race shock on the market, weighing just under 5 lbs 8 oz.
All of this translates to a purpose built race shock that outperforms anything on the market in this price range. This shock was developed with racers in mind, but because we offer it with 4 different builds, we can also match street riders with a build that will outperform any street shock as well.
