TST Industries Captive Chain Adjuster and GP Lifter Kit – Kawasaki Ninja 400 / Z400

I’m very excited to have teamed up with TST Industries and be able to offer you all this product.   This is one of the best designed products I have seen in awhile, and solves two important problems with the Kawasaki Ninja 400.

The spool mounts often times get ripped off or mangle the swingarm during even minor lowsides.  GP style lifters eliminate this issue completely.

The Ninja 400 is also notoriously a huge pain to change the rear tire because the chain adjusters fall out of the swingarm when the axle is removed.  There are other kits available to supposedly hold them in but we have tested them and they just don’t work at all.  This kit works.   The swingarm cap is replaced with a new billet aluminum piece that is bolted together to the OEM spool mount with a low profile GP lifter and holds up your bike and stays out of the way in a crash.  There is also a spring installed behind the new cap to keep the axle blocks pushed forward during tire changes.  Great design.

This is now one of my top recommended upgrades for the Ninja 400 for any track or race bike.

This kit works.  As a testament to the design, here’s a picture of the mounts on my R3 right after a 100mph lowside.  You can see that swingarm and spool mount are undamaged from the lifter and it still functions just fine:
