Description

All kits include new bearing seals which capture the outer spacers and keep them from falling out during wheel changes.  Complete kit installation requires removal of the wheel bearing on at least one side to install the lightweight inner spacers.

Reducing unsprung, rotating mass at the wheel is a very effective way to improve the handling and performance of a race bike.

These captive wheel spacer kits are for Yamaha YZF-R3 OEM rims.  These spacers kits are machined from 6061 aluminum.  This innovative design replaces the heavy OEM steel spacers and these lightweight captive spacers stay in the wheel when you remove the wheel from the bike, making it much easier and faster to take the wheel on and off for tire or sprocket changes.  The front and rear spacer kit combined weighs 11.25 oz. less than the OEM steel front and rear spacers.

Installation of the complete kits require the removal of at least one wheel bearing per wheel to change the inner spacer, so in order to maximize the performance you get for your dollar, we recommend replacing the OEM steel wheel bearings with light weight, low friction ceramic wheel bearings at the time of installation.
